Dominion Center for Behavioral Health Services (DCBHS) is one of the largest multi-disciplinary mental health practices in Loudoun County. DCBHS provides the highest quality psychiatric, psychological and counseling services for individuals in Northern Virginia. DCBHS offers these services in a cost-effective manner; we accept and bill most major insurance plans.
DCBHS is staffed by a board certified psychiatrist, licensed clinical psychologists, and licensed masters-level clinicians. Our psychiatrist is available to provide evaluations, discuss options and prescribe medication to help manage symptoms related to cognitive, emotional, and behavioral health concerns. Our psychiatrist treats children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with a full range of mental health issues including ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, disruptive behaviors, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, eating disorders, school problems, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and court-ordered psychiatric evaluations. Additionally, our psychiatrist addresses Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD) such as Autism and Asperger's Syndrome, and trauma related conditions.
DCBHS clinicians are licensed to treat children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics utilizing individual, couples, and family therapy. Areas of clinical expertise include ADHD, depression, anxiety, phobias, loss and grief, emotional and physical abuse, trauma and sexual assault, individual education programs for children, and domestic violence. Our providers also assist with: adjusting to divorce, medical conditions, and other life changes; addressing school-related difficulties; managing stress, anger, and behavioral problems; and enhancing self-esteem and self-confidence. Additionally, they can provide coaching for parents of children with ADHD. DCBHS clinicians utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theory, play and art therapy, family systems, client-centered/gestalt approaches, and hypnotherapy.
DCBHS Licensed Clinical Psychologists will provide comprehensive psychological testing and evaluations for all ages to help with differential diagnosis and assist with medication considerations and other treatment recommendations. Psychological testing can focus on cognitive ability, ADHD, neuropsychological functioning, personality and emotional functioning, severe mental illness, pervasive developmental disorders (PDD), substance abuse, anger management, and juvenile and adult forensic issues. Our evaluations will assist with IEP considerations, address academic concerns, and provide physicians, counselors, and the courts with a clear diagnostic picture and direction for treatment.
